This website is about a woman who was
firefighter. Called Dana MacCrimmon, she was from
Carbondale. She was famous in her role in the
firehouse at her time. The bad and pitiful side of
here story was that she died at age 45 after she
responded to a fire call on Thursday at 10:59 PM. In
Memorial Hospital se died Friday at 2:20PM. She got
two titles in 2005. The first in Carbondale Employee
in February and the second was City Employee. I read a
witness, which Mr. Harvey Welch had made about Dana.
He was the Chairman of Carbondale’s Police and Fire
Commission. He states that Mac Crimmon was part of
their excellent firefighting force. An other title of
Dana was that she had been the Director of Southern
Illinois Camp for Burned Children.

This story about Mac Crimmon showed me the gender equity. She was as
powerful as a man. Before, fighting was for men. Since
the law authorized the gender equity, women have
applied. Then, the result is usually bad when a woman
who is the best baby caregiver, dies leaving the
orphans. According to me, even though women are allowed
to do men’s job, some have great risks and must be

I visited a website named
  • stay home dad's article
  • . The site let know that some intuition occured and certain men become like mom for their children. Also, the thought of certain people bringing themselves to helping their wife extentively by choosing to stay home and take care of babies . Staying home; cooking; doing landry; washing children...such things are their preoccupation and they don't care what ever their friend with opposite mind tells them. Some people are sometimes obliged to act or to be like a woman because they are divorced and children are living with them. Those are single man and do every kind of house work  by themselves. People who do house work living with their wives are called new men. Its a new vision for them. I found that they're praticing emancipation purely.
The web site is very important by the lesson which is given to those men who think that woman are made for house work, will be given some hands and will pause a little. But I disagreed with the fact that certain men categoricaly stay home for house work. It would be good if they share the house work and each one get a job outside.

I visited aweb site rethinkingschool which stated about rethinking school.I heard from there that the way the children are taught today must be rethought. What is the problem? Today, children are basically taught about food. Then, how to eat, what to eat, how much time toeat a day...are the items which teachers are focused on. It's said that more important things could be taught like vending business; agriculture.... Negative consequences come from that food teaching like obesity and more other diseases.

I first desagreed with what the author of this web site said because food is for health. Children must eat enough so that the could grow and be healthy. But I agreed with him when some food cause obesity. Also it's a good thing to teach achild how to work too.

This is a story that was told in BENIN/WEST AFRICA,precisly in my small village named HOKY

Once upon a time,a king was going to give his daugther in marriage. Her name was SOSSI.As beautiful as that girl was,the king GBENON wanted to give her to the most powerfuland rich man known in all the empire. That girl was really beautiful so that anywhere she was, everybody wanted to watch her,to hear her, even totouch her if possible. She had been regularly rounded by people jus t for her beauty. She used to wander on a white horse.Well dressed,in the back of her horse, she liked to sing moving through the paths, on the grass and the most close to flowers. She was seventeen and her marriage was supposed to be celebrated at eighteen. The wealthy man was preparing. He was buying all the stuff that was required:clothes, shoes,head-tie,necklaces,jewelry,horse and so forth.Meanwhile, there was a very small poor man ,seventeen years old like SOSSI,who was thinking about how he could challenge the wealthy man. That poor man had used a wise and intelligent way and he married the nicest flower of the whole empire. What had he done?
One day,he went to find some honey. He tried to find as much as he could. He used many months to get it.After that,he found out when the princess was going to go wandering. When she left home for wandering, the poor man went to hide somewhere in the bush, close the princess'way. After he dropped the big bottle full of honey near her prefered flowers. When she found the honey, she lookked about just to see if the owner was somewhere. Our poor man AGOSSOU was looking at her, wathing her and asking himeselfmany questrions:could she take it? could she taste it?....And eventually when she had made sure that nobody was there ,she got down from her white horse ,took the honey bottle and drank too much. She was leaving with the rest of the honey when Agossou jumped out of the bush saying:'Oh! thief! thief!'.When the princess turned her head, she found she was the thief this man was shouting to.She said:'Don't tell anybody please because I'mgoing to marry next year and they'll laugth and insult me if they hear that.I'm going to give you some more money so that you can keep your mouth closed.'.'The only one thing that can my mouth closed is to sleep with you.If not I'll sing throughout all the empire.'Said Agossou. After along thinking ,she accepted. This only one time he slept with her,she got pregnant. She had ababy boy. When the found that the baby's father was Agossou,he decided to kill both Agossou and the baby. The princess was opposed to her father's decision and both the baby, the poor man and the princess were sent out of the empire.
